Studio's Policies

We have developed the following policies to give clarification of how our studio works and hopefully answer some of your questions.

Hours

Our studio closes one hour early when there are no active painters remaining in the studio. The last seating to paint is 1 hour and 15 minutes before the posted closing time. You can find a list of our current hours posted here. If a holiday falls on a Monday, we will be open on that holiday and close on Tuesday instead, finally, in the event of inclement weather, we may close the studio early or choose not to open depending on the weather, please call or check our website or Facebook to confirm we are open.

Events and Party Studio time

Children's birthdays: Our parties consist of 90 minutes. One hour for painting and 30 minutes for singing Happy Birthday, taking photos, and sharing cake or snacks.  If you plan to order pizza or other food, please check with our staff and plan accordingly, we charge $40 for every 30 minutes over the allocated time for the party (only available if there is no other event ahead of you).

Adult Events: Our adult gatherings/events consist of 2 hours of studio time, please have your guests arrive 15 minutes early in order to select their pieces and have as much time as possible to paint. If your guest doesn't finish the piece within the allocated time they may take the work with them and schedule a good time to come back to finalize the piece, there will be a studio fee if they need to return a third time.

Studio Rental: If you are hosting an event before or after hours, we are happy to work with you to ensure the time allocated for your group is just right!

Confirmation Process: Three days before the event, you'll receive an email to confirm the number of painters attending. Your prompt response to this confirmation is crucial as it allows us to plan our staff accordingly and ensures that everyone has a fantastic painting experience.

Attendance Policy:  In the event of any painter's absence on the scheduled day, a fee will be applicable. This fee is necessary to manage resources and uphold the quality of our events. If you have any concerns or questions about this policy, please feel free to reach out to us.

Studio Time and Fees

The cost of each art piece covers a 90-minute session, which includes paints, glazing, firing, use of the studio, and assistance from our staff with design. If you wish to extend your painting time, there is a fee of $5 per painter for an additional 30 minutes, provided tables are available.

If tables are not available during your desired time, you have the option to schedule a second session at $10 per hour per painter during peak hours (Thursday - Sunday) or $7 per hour during off-peak hours (Tuesday and Wednesday).

Studio's Supplies and Glazes

Unfortunately, we have come across some guests that use scissors to damage brushes or abused the usage of glaze and underglaze. Please keep in mind once you start painting your ceramic and it´s mostly done, you can not wash it off and start over again. We understand mistakes happen if you need to clean a section of it to fix it, however, we will charge $20 extra if you decide to run your piece underwater and start over again or for the lack of respect for the studio's supplies. The underglazes in the paint containers can not be combined because everyone uses them, we ask to please clean your brush or change brushes when you change colors. There will be a $20 charge if the paints you use are mixed together.

Slippery Hands

Since pottery is breakable and we generally have custom pieces in process, it is unacceptable to have children running in the studio. Our staff will try to control this, but it will be up to the parents/guardians to ultimately discourage this type of behavior. Our policy is to charge 50% of the price of a broken piece to cover our expenses of purchase, shipping, and stocking.

Pottery Pick-Ups | Storage

Our studio closes one hour early daily when there are no active painters present. To ensure we are open for your pick-up, kindly plan to retrieve your finished pottery pieces at least one hour before our standard closing time or give us a call to coordinate pickup.

Pottery Ready Timeframe: Pottery painted today will be ready for pick-up within 7-10 days after 4 p.m. unless otherwise specified during your visit.

Pick-Up Deadline: Finished pieces must be picked up within 30 days from the date written on your purchase receipt. After this period:

  • Pottery will be placed into storage for 2 months.

  • A $15 fee per item will be incurred for retrieval from our storage service.

Unclaimed Pottery: If pottery remains unclaimed after the storage period, some pieces may be selected for an annual auction/sale. Proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association, unselected pieces will be disposed of.
