Studio's Policies

We have developed the following policies to give clarification of how our studio works and hopefully answer some of your questions.

Hours

Our studio closes one hour early when there are no active painters remaining in the studio. The last seating to paint is 1 hour and 15 minutes before the posted closing time. You can find a list of our current hours posted here. If a holiday falls on a Monday, we will be open on that holiday and close on Tuesday instead, finally, in the event of inclement weather, we may close the studio early or choose not to open depending on the weather, please call or check our website or Facebook to confirm we are open.

Events and Party Studio time

Children's birthdays: Our parties consist of 90 minutes. One hour for paining and 30 minutes for singing happy birthday, taking photos, and sharing cake or snacks.  If you plan to order pizza or other food, please check with our staff and plan accordingly, we charge $40 for every 30 minutes over the allocated time for the party (only available if there is not another event ahead of you).

Adult Events: Our adult gatherings/events consist of 2 hours of studio time, please have your guests arrive 15min early in order to select their pieces and have as much time as possible painting. If your guest doesn't finish the piece withing the allocated time they may take the work with them and schedule a good time to come back to finalize the piece, there will be a studio fee if they need to return a third time.

Studio Rental: If you are hosting an event before or after hours, we are happy to work with you to ensure the time allocated for your group is just right!

Studio Time and Fees

The cost of the piece covers a 90 min. session, paints, glazing, firing, use of the studio and our staff design assistance. If you need additional time for painting there is a fee of $5 per painter for an additional 30min. only If there are tables available. If we don't have tables available you may schedule a second session for $10 hr. per painter during peak hours (Thursday - Sunday) or $7 hr. for off peak hours (Tuesday and Wednesday).

Studio's Supplies and Glazes

Unfortunately, we have come across some guests that use scissors to damage brushes or abused the usage of glaze and underglaze. Please keep in mind once you start painting your ceramic and it´s mostly done, you can not wash it off and start over again. We understand mistakes happen if you need to clean a section of it to fix it, however, we will charge $20 extra if you decide to run your piece underwater and start over again or for the lack of respect for the studio's supplies. The underglazes in the paint containers can not be combined because everyone uses them, we ask to please clean your brush or change brushes when you change colors. There will be a $20 charge if the paints you use are mixed together.

Slippery Hands

Since pottery is breakable and we generally have custom pieces in process, it is unacceptable to have children running in the studio. Our staff will try to control this, but it will be up to the parents/guardians to ultimately discourage this type of behavior. Our policy is to charge 50% of the price of a broken piece to cover our expenses of purchase, shipping, and stocking.

Pottery Pick-Ups | Storage

Our studio closes one hour early daily when there are no active painters remaining in the studio. Please plan to pick up your finished pottery pieces at least one hour before closing to ensure we will be open for your pick-up.

Pottery painted today will be ready in 7-10 days after 4 p.m. unless otherwise specified. Finished pieces need to be picked up within 30 days of the date written on your receipt at the time of purchase. After 30 days pottery will be placed into storage for 2 months, there is a $15 fee per item in order to retrieve it from our storage service. If pottery is not claimed at that time some pieces will be selected for a once-a-year action/sale, proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association the rest of the pieces will be disposed of.

Form of Payment

Payment in full is required at the time of check-out or in advance in the case of deposits, class registrations, or special ordered items. We do not allow payments at pick-up. We ABSOLUTELY LOVE cash! And we happily accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. Sorry- No Personal Checks.

Purchases, Refunds & Exchanges

All sales are final. This includes all artwork, bisque pieces for paint your own, art kits, gift certificates/cards, and event fees. Deposits for events can be turned into store credit if canceled within 48hrs of reservation.  If you are pre-ordering a special piece such as Christmas Trees and you do not show up at the time of your reservation, it is your responsibility to reschedule your studio time within 3 days or you will forfeit your deposit.

Reservations

Reservations are not required unless it's for a specific studio event. If you have made a reservation with our studio, we expect that you will show up within 15 minutes of your reservation time. Tables will not be held for your group longer than 15 minutes past your scheduled arrival time. If you need to make an adjustment to your reservation, please call the studio as soon as it is known and we will happily work with you to arrange a mutually agreeable date and time whenever possible.

Cancellations for events or classes:

Deposits ensuring that you have the space reserved for that specific date and time will go towards the full payment of your event. Deposits for events are non-refundable, with 48 hours' notice, parties may be rescheduled or the deposit may be converted to store credit.

Registration for classes or special events is non-refundable.

Class/ Workshop/Brush and Sip cancellation or NO-SHOWS:

Registration fees are non-refundable, with a 48hr notice fee that may be converted to store credit. If you did not call and did not show to the event, you are considered a "no-show" and there will be no refund or store credit issued as we have incurred expenses in preparing your materials for a class not knowing that you would not show up and by saving you a spot for an event we could have otherwise sold to another customer, incurring a loss to our small business.

In the rare event that we as a studio have to cancel your event because of an unforeseen reason, we will gladly offer a refund or store credit for the amount you paid if it was not weather-related or in the event, we do not already have a weather-related contingency date set up in advance with you for the event.
